Hay Mini Nationals 2005

Hay is a small township which is equal distance from both Adelaide and Sydney. Each year it hosts the Hay Mini Nationals on the Queen's birthday long weekend. The weekend involves a lot of good times and the focus is a dirt Motorkhana on Sunday. On Saturday there is a parade down the main street, a Show and Shine and this year a remote control motorkhana competition for the kids both big and small.

Craig Williams from Hotbricks won the Motorkhana on Sunday, the first time someone has one it in a new MINI. A sensational effort and I would like to congratulate Craig on his achievement.

The Mini Car Club of New South Wales took out the GBS top team award this year, congratulations to the club for an excellent effort.

I was along this year, camera in tow, and had a ball. The weather was fantastic, look at those blue skies and red dirt, really does say Australia doesn't it.
