Motorkhana SA is a website dedicated to Motorkhanas in South
Australia (well named isn't it?). The site was started in
early 2005 by me, Richard Appleby after attending round 1
of the MAK Wheels Multi Club Motorkhana Series and deciding
that I wanted to compete in the rest of the series.
At this point, and at the time of writing this I'm not very
good at motorkhanas, and so I started looking for information
about techniques, tests, classes and results. I had difficulty
finding any material on the web which was of any use to me.
The results are also notoriously hard to come by as well,
making it hard for drivers to determine how well they did
in a particular event, whether they improved or not.
Another of my hobbies is photography. I enjoy taking photos
and sharing them with others. Unfortunately, cameras and lenses
are expensive so I would like to be able to sell some of my
photographs to help offset the cost of camera equipment and
to help support the costs of running this site. All photographs
in the gallery are available for purchase in a variety of
sizes, framed or unframed.
Hopefully this site will be helpful to budding drivers and
seasoned veterans alike. I've learnt quite a bit in building
it and talking to various people. Please take a while to follow
the links on your left and enjoy!
